Obedience training doesn't have to be boring. In addition to the standard basic training commands - sit, down, stay, come, heel, leave and go, you and your dog can have lots of fun working on more advanced training that focuses on working your dog's individual talents. This will also help prevent problem behaviour. | ![]() |
| Dogs don't care about money, they care about praise and food. Positive re-inforcement training uses praise and/or treats to reward your dog for doing something you want him to do. If you want to use a clicker, then do - it can re-inforce the good behaviour. The reward makes him more likely to repeat the good behaviour. | ||

Positive re-inforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing your dog's behaviour. The Club's teaching methods are based on the Ttouch principle, which can help you understand and influence your animal in a way that develops trust, creates a good relationship, and changes unwanted behaviour, without resorting to negative methods and punishment. | ![]() |
Positive reinforcement dog training works by using praise and positive actions or rewards - rather than punishment or correctional actions - to teach your dog right from wrong. |

Through her experience with the Tellington Ttouch method and the importance of keeping a dog in physical, emotional and mental balance, Claudette believes that one2one training is the best for both dog and owner in their preferred environment. This is ideal for the dog or owner who has a particular issue that needs addressing and a plan can be implemented for future practise, showing different ways to motivate the dog, reduce stress levels and understand the importance of timing and reward.
